After 13 years...it's time. Studio50 is closing this fall.

Have you ever found yourself in a moment where life gently (or not-so-gently) asks you to slow down?

To step off your well-worn cow path—the one you thought you'd keep walking—and choose a new one, even when it feels uncertain… and scary as hell?

That's where I've been lately.

After 13 years of casting concrete, I've made the difficult decision to close this chapter and Studio50 at the end of October.

The physical and repetitive demands of the work have caught up with me, and after consulting with medical professionals about my symptoms, I know it's time to start listening to what my body has been trying to tell me for a while.

It wasn't a change I expected at this time in my life….

But there's a saying that's been helping me through this transition:
Life is happening for me, not to me.
And that shift in perspective has helped meet this moment with a little more courage.

Because when one door closes, others quietly begin to open.
(Another mindset quote I'm leaning into these days.)

And you know that uncomfortable space—between the “oh shit” and the freedom?

That's where I'm standing now. And I'm opening myself up to the possibilities.

Studio50 has never just been about concrete.
It's been about curiosity, connection, intention—and creating pieces that become part of your homes, your rituals, your celebrations.

In the months ahead, I'll be moving slowly, as my body allows—casting in smaller batches through spring and summer.
My final pour will happen in October. (that's the goal but ultimately my body will decide)

So if there's a piece you've been thinking about—or something you've always wanted to gift—now's the time.

I'll be sending out inventory update emails over the coming months so you'll get first dibs when fresh casts are restocked online.

📍 Current Studio Hours + Order Info

At this time, Studio50 is solely online.
There is an option for Studio Porch Pickup on Thursdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for local orders. (select during checkout)

One of the things I’m working on (and still learning how to do!) is giving my body the rest it needs.
That means keeping weekends open for downtime and recovery, as part of my healing process.

If anything changes with studio hours, pickup days, or availability, I’ll be sure to send out an update by email.
